Plants suited to this region need to handle cold winters, variable soil, and a defined growing season. Native and regionally adapted trees, shrubs, and perennials tend to perform best because they’re built for the local climate. Tynic selects plants based on your specific soil, light, and maintenance preferences.

Spring and fall are generally the best windows for planting in this region, since milder temperatures help plants establish roots before summer heat or winter cold. That said, much of the growing season from April through mid-December works well, depending on the plant.
